B.C. NDP received $717K in political contributions in third quarter of 2021

VICTORIA, B.C. — Between July 1 and Sept. 30 of this year, the B.C. NDP collected $717,686.25 in political contributions.

Data from Elections B.C. showed the money came from 1,534 individual contributions, some of which were as low as $12 while others were upwards of $1,200.

The NDP raised the most out of every B.C. party, and was three times more than the runner up B.C. Liberals who collected 677 donations in the third quarter totaling $217,084.44.

The Green Party raised $185,034.04 in 310 contributions over the course of those three months. In a release, the Greens say that’s a record amount raised through political contributions.

The Conservative Party collected $8,515 in political contributions between July and October this year, most of which came from three contributors who each donated $1,250.
