Ladysmith Museum benefits from COVID-19 recovery fund
LADYSMITH — Provincial funding awarded to the Ladysmith and District Historical Society will see the local museum improved.
A news release said $89,000 will better protect artifacts and improve the building’s layout on 1st Ave.
“The money will go toward roof repair, gutter installation, improvement of perimeter drainage and minor renovations to improve space utilization and accessibility,” Quentin Goodbody, society president, said.
Some of the funds are dedicated toward improving the flow of visitors viewing exhibits, while also creating additional functional space for curated and stored artifacts.
