LADYSMITH — Further COVID-19 exposure dates were confirmed for Nanaimo Ladysmith Secondary.

The school has returned to Island Health’s school exposure list due to a member of the school community testing positive for COVID-19.

A letter from the Nanaimo-Ladysmith School District to parents said the exposure event occurred from Feb. 8 to Feb. 10 and Feb. 16 to Feb. 18.

The individual who tested positive is isolating, the school district said.

Island Health is currently contact tracing for anyone who may have come in contact with the affected individual.

Ladysmith Secondary School previously suffered an exposure event on Feb. 5 when numerous exposures were recorded at district schools, and in the fall during the first round of exposure events in the area.

There are currently two other SD68 schools on Island Health’s COVID-19 exposure page: NDSS and Bayview elementary.
