One new COVID-19 case on Vancouver Island as numbers steadily rise during re-opening

NANAIMO — The number of COVID-19 cases on Vancouver Island has risen again.

One new case was announced by provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry on Thursday, July 16, among the 21 new cases announced for the province.

This brings the number of active cases to four out of the total 136 cases confirmed for Vancouver Island.

The 21 new cases on Thursday is the seventh time in eight days new COVID-19 cases exceeded 20.
