Nanaimo RCMP issue multiple arrest warrants for accused drug trafficker

NANAIMO — Local mounties are searching for a Nanaimo woman with alleged ties to the drug trade.

Casey Lee Stewart is wanted by Nanaimo RCMP on six warrants for charges ranging from drug trafficking to breaching court orders.

Cst. Gary O’Brien from the Nanaimo RCMP told NanaimoNewsNOW their investigation into Stewart stretches several years.

“The first investigation into drug trafficking emanated from a 2018 investigation, then the breaches stem from her missing court appearances and not abiding by her release,” O’Brien said.

The 38-year-old woman of no fixed address is still believed to be in the Nanaimo area.

She’s described as 5’6, 145 lbs. with blonde hair and brown eyes. Police noted Stewart regularly changes her hair colour, however does have noticable birth mark on the left side of her face.

If anyone sees Stewart, they’re asked to contact the non-emergency line of the Nanaimo RCMP detachment.
