Nanaimo seniors feeling like kids again for Halloween

NANAIMO — For the first time in years, Nanaimo seniors got to greet kids on Halloween with bags of candy.

Residents at Kiwanis Village greeted 50 trick-or-treaters in the lobbies of the village houses on Halloween.

Susan Gaunt said it reminded them of Halloween’s gone by.

“It just brightens up the day. A lot of us don’t get to go out for any of this, so it’s a way of participating in the festivities and we don’t have to go far.”
