NANAIMO — A rogue branch caused quite the scene in Nanoose on the last day of the long weekend.
It fell onto power lines just south of the Nanoose rest stop parking lot on Hwy. 19, between Summerset Rd. and Hillview Rd. before 12 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 2.
Drivers at the scene told NanaimoNewsNOW the branch sparked a small fire which required emergency responder attention.
