Outlaw artist arrested in Parksville graffiti tagging spree
PARKSVILLE — A 23-year-old man who police believe ravaged Parksville with more than 100 graffiti tags over the past few months was arrested for a second time in recent weeks.
Cpl. Jesse Foreman said the man was caught by an undercover officer Wednesday in Parksville, using recent video surveillance from a French Creek church to connect the dots.
“Upon arrest he had several spray paint containers and jiffy markers and other things on his person,” Foreman told NanaimoNewsNOW. “It’s something he’s heavily invested in, I’m not sure why but that’s not something for me to decide.”
Foreman said police didn’t have enough evidence to detain the suspect following an initial arrest on March 11.
