Several guns stolen from Qualicum Beach home worries police
PARKSVILLE — Oceanside RCMP are worried about guns in the wrong hands after a Qualicum Beach home was broken into.
Cpl. Jesse Foreman says a man who returned to his Andreeff Road home from two weeks away reported on Tuesday that five of his long guns had been stolen.
“We canvassed the area but no one could put an exact pinpoint date on when this occurred,” said Foreman.
He says two shotguns and three rifles were stolen, noting they were all properly stored in a cabinet. Foreman says access was gained through the basement of the home, located on the northern edge of Qualicum.
