A warmer than usual Summer is in the cards.
Summer officially arrives on the mid-Island at 3:34 p.m Monday afternoon.
This past Spring was the warmest in Nanaimo since records started being kept 100 years ago.
Matt McDonald with Environment Canada expects that will continue over the next few months.
“Summer looks warmer than normal and we’ll have see how the precipitation plays out, but at least summer is making a return here in the next week or so,” said McDonald.
