Cyclist found dead in mysterious rural Courtenay incident

COURTENAY — Comox Valley RCMP are trying to piece together the mysterious death of a cyclist.
Mounties report a 67-year-old man was found in distress in a ditch on Left Rd. in the Merville area late Wednesday (Jan. 3) afternoon.
The man was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police aren’t sure how the cyclist ended up in the ditch.
