NANAIMO — In the BCHL, the Nanaimo Clippers wrapped up the regular season with 2-1 win over Victoria on the road Saturday night. The Clippers will meet Victoria in the first round of the playoffs starting March 3rd. 

In the VIJHL,  the Nanaimo Buccaneers squared up their first round playoff series with the Comox Valley Glacier Kings with a 2-0 win last night. Mateo Albinati and Trent Bell scored for the Buccaneers while John Hawthorne made 27 saves for the shutout. 

The best of seven series shifts back to Nanaimo Monday night tied 1-1. The puck drops at 7:00 p.m. at the NIC for game three.
