More than $23k of equipment stolen from worksite

NANAIMO — Construction workers at a site in Cedar were in for a surprise last week. 

According to Nanaimo RCMP, a $23,000 industrial pump was dragged from the Hazelwood Construction worksite on Thursday, Feb. 16. Batteries were taken from around the site the next Saturday, Feb. 19. 

RCMP is currently hunting for suspects. 

If anyone has any information, they’re urged to call RCMP or Crime Stoppers if they wish to remain anonymous.
