RCMP say Parksville nail gun thief has criminal history

Jan 11, 2017 | 2:25 PM

PARKSVILLE — Oceanside Mounties say a man busted for a pair of tool thefts has a lengthy rap sheet.

RCMP say they arrested a man after a nail gun was stolen from a Parksville department store on Jan. 9. They believe the man also stole another nail gun, valued at $400, from the same store on Jan. 4.

The man lied about his name and handed over someone else’s ID when he was arrested, according to Mounties.

Police say once they found out the man’s real name, they discovered he had 10 outstanding warrants from crimes on the Lower Mainland.
