Hydro update: Some good news to those without power in Nanaimo region

NANAIMO — BC Hydro customers still in the dark in the Nanaimo-area could see their power restored some time on Boxing Day.

BC Hyrdo crews from as far away as the East Coast have worked around the clock to restore service after a powerful windstorm swept through the region on Thursday.

NANAIMO — In the BCHL, the Nanaimo Clippers dropped a 3-2 contest to Victoria Saturday night at Frank Crane Arena. Tristan Crozier scored both goals for the Clippers. The Clippers are on the road next weekend for three games starting with a stop in Vernon on Friday.

NANAIMO — Saturday afternoon the Nanaimo Clippers wrapped up play at the BCHL Showcase in Chilliwack with a 3-3 tie against Wenatchee. The Clippers got goals from Parker Colley, Vincent Millette and Jake Harris who tied the game up in the last minute of regulation time.
