Bucs’ attack Cougars with 4 unanswered goals to take Game 3

NANAIMO —The Victoria Cougars jumped out to a 3-0 lead over the Nanaimo Buccaneers last night in Game 3 at the Pirate Ship.

However a power-play goal from Dawson Heathcote at 9:22 of the second period, put some wind in the sails of the Bucs’.

The Bucs’ would cut the deficit to just one after another power-play goal from Ben Kotylak his first in the VIJHL  late in the period. Lucas Patton and rookie Brendan Rogers would find the back of the net for the Bucs’ in the third to seal the win for the home side. 

The Buccaneers now lead the best-of-seven series 2-1 and will look for another win tonight in Game 4.
