Island Top Team has impressive showing at Revolution tournament

TACOMA, WA — Island Top Team had a successful showing at the Revolution Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament over the weekend.
 
Revolution is considered the largest grappling event in the Pacific Northwest.
 
ITT competitor and instructor Rob Biernacki won the Masters NoGi advanced division with two victories and he was named the top Masters NoGi advanced athlete.

Monica Bonczak took the NoGi intermediate division and also earned silver in her Gi blue belt division.

Bonczak was recognized as the top athlete in the Women’s NoGi Intermediate category.

Chris Merrill made his competition debut with Island Top Team by winning his Masters Blue Belt division.
 
He also captured silver in his Masters NoGi Intermediate division.
 
The performance at Revolution marked the second tournament in as many weeks where every member of ITT to step on the mats won a gold medal.
 
The victories included a 100 per cent submission rate, something the team has never accomplished before.
