NANOOSE BAY — Two people were injured when police say a vehicle going the wrong way crashed into another vehicle on Hwy. 19 in Nanoose Bay.
Oceanside RCMP Staff Sgt. Marc Pelletier said a northbound vehicle hit the oncoming vehicle in the southbound lanes at 12:20 a.m. Friday just north of the Nanoose Bay Petro Canada gas station.
Pelletier said both drivers were taken to hospital with undetermined injuries and a third vehicle narrowly missed the wreck.
He said speed and alcohol could be factors.
