NANAIMO — Fractious labour negotiations between Coast Hotels and their Nanaimo employees are over after two lengthy days of talks.

Unite Here Local 40 representative Octavian Cadebeschi confirmed to NanaimoNewsNOW a tentative agreement was reached around 3:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 14.

The agreement affects roughly 250 employees across B.C., including 100 at Nanaimo’s Coast Bastion hotel.

It’s currently a tentative agreement and is expected to be ratified by union members early next week.
