PARKSVILLE — Two Nanaimo women accused of thefts in the Oceanside region face charges.

Oceanside RCMP reported the women, aged 22 and 31, were arrested on Nov. 26 after items were reported stolen from businesses in the Coombs Emporium shopping complex.

Police said a vehicle linked to the women was stolen the day before at a home on nearby Smithers Rd. off the Alberni Hwy.

During the arrests, police said the 22-year-old woman got into a physical confrontation with the responding Mountie.
