PARKSVILLE — Christmas magic will help hundreds of families have a festive holiday season.

The tenth annual Tigh-Na-Mara Toy Drive runs Wednesday, Nov. 28 starting at 6 a.m. at the resort.

Thousands of toys are expected to be dropped off, to then be distributed through the Society of Organized Services to families who struggle around the holidays.

In 2017, the toy drive collected nearly 1,700 toys to then be put under the tree. Roughly $13,000 was also raised through cash, cheques and gift cards.

Every type of toy is accepted by SOS and will be found a home.

Anyone who donates a gift receives a free breakfast.

88.5 the Beach and 99.9 The Lounge will be broadcasting live from the Tigh-Na-Mara resort all morning.
