Qualicum man wins big in Lotto 6/49

NANAIMO — A whole new world of possibilities has opened for a Qualicum man who won $500,000 playing the lottery.

“I know it sounds cliché, but I’m not sure what to do next as I’m still in shock,” winner David Le Blanc said in a BCLC release.

He bought his winning ticket at the Whiskey Creek Mid-Island Co-op and he won the cool half a million on the Extra portion of the Lotto 6/49 ticket in the draw on Feb. 10.

Le Blanc admitted to being a man of few words, but said he was absolutely speechless when he found out his life was going to remarkably change.

He said the money will go to savings and a vacation, but most of it will be used to help his children.
