Violent early Sunday home invasion sends three to hospital

Jan 14, 2018 | 1:28 PM

Nanaimo RCMP say a baseball bat was used in a violent home invasion into a south Nanaimo home.

Police said the incident happened just after 7 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 14 at a home in the 600 block of Howard Ave. When they arrived, they reportedly found three men assaulted by multiple suspects. One of the victims was hit in the head with a bat several times and received non-life threatening injuries.

The suspects allegedly fled and haven’t been found by police.

RCMP Cst. Gary O’Brien said the home invasion was likely part of an “ongoing feud between two groups and was a targeted attack.”
