NANAIMO — In the BCHL, the Nanaimo Clippers dropped a 3-2 contest to Victoria Saturday night at Frank Crane Arena. Tristan Crozier scored both goals for the Clippers. The Clippers are on the road next weekend for three games starting with a stop in Vernon on Friday.

In the VIJHL, the Nanaimo Buccaneers remain red hot after a 5-4 win over Comox. The first place Buccaneers have now won 8 games in a row. They will be back on home ice Thursday against Peninsula. Game time is 7:15 P.M. at the NIC.

In other action the Oceanside Generals lost 5-4 to Saanich in double OT. The Generals are back on the ice Friday in Comox.

In BCMML action, the North Island Silvertips won for the first time this season 3-1 over the South Island Royals Saturday night. The Silvertips are back on the ice tonight when they host the Royals. Game time is 5:45 P.M at Frank Crane Arena.

In the BCIHL, the VIU Mariners opened the season  last night with a 5-1 loss to the Trinity Western Spartans. The next home game for the Mariners is October 28th when they host Selkirk College at the NIC.


In the BCFC, the VI Raiders wrapped up the regular season with a 48-16 win at home over Langley Saturday afternoon. The Raiders will open the playoffs next weekend on the road against the Okanagan Sun.
