IKEA opens collection point in Nanaimo

Jul 31, 2017 | 2:16 PM

NANAIMO — It’s still impossible to put together, but getting your IKEA furniture shipped to Nanaimo just got easier.

The retail giant has opened a collection point in Nanaimo where people can have their online orders shipped. No matter the size or value of the order, it can be shipped to the Boban Dr. collection point for $79, which is less than the $170 home delivery fee.

The collection points are not a store, however are designed to “make shopping easier in markets that have been identified as having potential,” a release said.

IKEA has a goal of doubling in size by 2025.
