PORT ALBERNI — Police are asking for the public’s help finding a Port Alberni man who hasn’t been heard from since Jan. 3 and may be in Nanaimo.

Mounties say Trevor Ryan Oakley, 34, was reported missing by his mother on Jan. 17, after she hadn’t heard from her son since early in the month. Oakley had been staying at a Port Alberni shelter.

Oakley told friends he had met a woman and may go visit her in Nanaimo or on Gabriola Island, according to police. He may be with 37-year-old Patricia Nataucappo.

Oakley is described as white, 6 feet tall, 181 pounds with short grey-brown hair, hazel eyes and facial stubble.
