NANAIMO — In the BCHL, the Nanaimo Clippers made it two wins in a row after a 3-2 overtime victory over the Alberni Valley Bulldogs Saturday night.

The Clippers will start a three game road trip Friday in Salmon Arm. 

In the VIJHL, the Nanaimo Buccaneers continue to stay hot after a 7-3 win over Peninsula. The Buccaneers have now won six games in a row and will back on the ice Thurday when they host Kerry Park. 

Meanwhile the Oceanside Generals dropped a 5-3 contest to the Victoria Cougars. The Generals will be back in action this afternoon when they travel to Mill Bay for a battle with the Kerry Park Islanders.

In the PACWEST, both men’s and woman’s VIU volleyball teams were on the court Satuday in Nanaimo against the Columbia Bible College Bearcats. The men won in straight sets ( 25-18, 25-22, 25-22 ) and
