Nov 13, 2016 | 2:36 AM

NANAIMO – An early goal against in all three periods propelled the Langley Rivermen to a 4-1 win over the Clippers on Saturday.

In the first, Ryan Barrow opened the scoring three minutes in to the game on a power play.

Adam Donnelly scored Nanaimo’s only goal midway through the first, his second goal in as many games.

McKay Flanagan put the Rivermen up 2-1 at the three minute mark of the second, once again on the man advantage.

Another goal inside the first two minutes of the third by Brendan Budy gave Langley some insurance. Gavin Payne ended any chance of a comeback with his goal with six minutes left.

The Clippers outshot the Rivermen 32-30, with the power plays going 0/4 for Nanaimo and 2/5 for Langley.

A tough week for the Clippers has come to an end with the team earning one out of a possible six points.

Next week is another three game week with road games in Prince George, Langley and Chilliwack.

Nanaimo’s last extended trip was highly successful with wins over Trail, Penticton and Merritt.
