NEW YORK — Tampa Bay right-wing Nikita Kucherov, Chicago goaltender Corey Crawford and New York Rangers centre Kevin Hayes have been named the NHL’s three stars of the week.

Kucherov took first-star honours with three goals and four assists in three games to guide the Lightning to five out of a possible six standings points and second place in the Atlantic Division.

His week was highlighted by a four-point performance, matching a career high, in a 6-1 victory over the New York Islanders on Tuesday. He had two goals and two assists in the contest, including the game-winning goal.

Crawford went 3-0-0 with a 1.00 goals-against average, .971 save percentage and one shutout as the Blackhawks picked up four wins in four games to move into first place in the Central Division.
