NANAIMO — In the BCHL, The Nanaimo Clippers snapped a three game losing streak with a 4-1 win over Coquitlam Saturday night. The Clippers followed that up with a 5-3 loss to Vernon Sunday afternoon.

In the VIJHL, The Nanaimo Buccanneers downed the Comox Valley Glacier Kings 6-1. In other action the Oceanside Generals fell 5-1 to Campbell River.

In the BCFC, the VI Raiders wrapped up the regular season with a 37-17 win over the Valley Huskers in Chilliwack. The Raiders will travel to Westshore to take on the Rebels in the first round of the playoffs in two weeks.

In PACWEST soccer action both VIU’s men’s and women’s soccer teams were in action Saturday afternoon at Capilano University.  Both the men’s and women’s teams lost by the same score, 2-0.

On Sunday the Mariner women played to a 2-2 draw with Quest. The men meanwhile hammered Quest 5-1 on Sunday.
