Mom pleads for help in return of daughter allegedly abducted from B.C.

SAANICH, B.C. — A mother in Saanich, B.C., is spending her daughter’s second birthday pleading for the toddler’s safe return in what police are calling a case of parental abduction.

Tasha Brown says her only wish for her daughter Kaydance is that the little girl would be brought back to Canada.

The Saanich Police Department says Brown and her wife Lauren Etchells had Kaydance through a donor process in 2014, but the couple separated last year.

Police say that in April, while custody proceedings were underway, Etchells allegedly violated a court order and obtained a passport for the little girl.
