Lumby woman’s nightmare summer has happy ending

KAMLOOPS — A Lumby woman whose family home burned down this summer says things are finally looking up.

Sarah Ross was the winner of a $1 million Lotto 6/49 prize last Wednesday.

Ross and her family have been living in a rental unit since fire claimed their home.

She says, after all the adversity the family faced over the summer, she was excited to tell her husband and children about the win.

Ross says, in addition to using the prize winnings to help rebuild her family’s life, she will save some for her childrens’ post-secondary education.
