NANAIMO — In the VIJHL, the Nanaimo Buccaneers and Oceanside Generals were both in action on Saturday night. 

The Buccaneers fell 6-2 on the road to the Comox Valley Glacier Kings.The Generals lost 5-3 at home to the Westshore Wolves.

In the BCHL Sunday, the Nanaimo Clippers will take on the Powell River Kings at Frank Crane Arena. Game time is 2 p.m.

In the BCFC,  the VI Raiders are now 3-4 on the season, after a 32-17 loss to the Langley Rams on the road Saturday night. The Raiders will be back on the field next Saturday when they host the Westshore Rebels at Caledonia Park.

The PACWEST season kicked off for VIU’s men’s and women’s soccer teams on Saturday. The men blanked Douglas College 2-0, while the women ended in a 5-5 draw with Douglas College.

Both teams are back in action Sunday at Langara.
