Coroner ID’s Nanaimo woman killed in Labour Day crash

NANAIMO — A Nanaimo woman killed in a crash on Labour Day has been identified.
 
The coroner says 92-year-old Brenda Pitt-Taylor died in hospital after being hit by an SUV at the intersection of Wakesiah and Fifth.
 
RCMP report witnesses say Pitt-Taylor ran a red light and was then broadsided by the other vehicle.
