More than half a million dollars worth of government funding is coming to three popular mid-island parks.
The B.C. government has announced Rathtrevor Beach, Englishman River Falls and Little Qualicum Falls will all get money for a variety of improvements.
$400,000 being spent at Rathtrevor will go towards shoreline restoration and seawall removal.
High-use trails are being upgraded, safety fencing is being replaced and a playground is being replaced and relocated at Englishman River Falls, thanks to $100,000.
