I spy with my little eye… oh  it was a fun game when we were kids., wasn’t it? Many hours were passed on car trips!

But now, often what we spy are things that are not going right, people that annoy us and details that aren’t perfect.

This week resurrected the I spy game – with a twist –  spy something that someone is doing right – instead of spewing about what you think they are doing wrong,

Spy something someone is  wearing that looks really great on them and tell them  instead of keeping that compliment in your head.

Spy a quality that someone else  has that you would like to develop.

Spy someone that has been trying really hard.

Spy someone that has been creative and tenacious!

Spy all the things that went right with your day, instead of just spying the one or two incidents that went wrong.

And while you are at it spy something great about yourself!

That which we focus on expands and if we keep spying the negative, the bad and the unfulfilling we are going to see more and more of those things.

Just like I spy when we were little – sometimes the very thing we are looking for are right in front of us.

What can you spy, that is positive, proactive and progressive this week?

And…speaking of spies…sort of…

What do you get when you cross a retired spy with a retired professional football player – you get an interesting radio show – that’s what!

Human behaviour, communication, leadership – were all on the table today as I spoke with communications expert JJ Brun –  his years of service within Human Intelligence (HUMINT) of the Canadian Forces Intelligence Branch fostered his interest in how people think and why they act the way they do. His unique take on DISC profiling can help you size up people in an instant and have you catapulte relationships to a level you may have never ever considered possible. JJ has a great line about be alcueistic – one without a clue – yep, that’s been me a time or two!

AND – former CFL linebacker Orlando Bowen joined us, as well  and shared his amazing story of forgiveness. Orlando is the founder and Executive Director at the One Voice One Team Youth Leadership Organization. For the past nine years, Orlando has used story-telling, fitness activities and cognitive exercises to teach resilience, leadership and teamwork to over 300,000 people. this guys mixes enegy with heart for an amazing combination of passion with purpose.

The common denominator today was teamwork – at work or at home, what these guys talked about can game changers!

You can enjoy the whole show here!
