NANAIMO — The man who guided the VI Raiders to perhaps their most memorable provincial championship will receive an Orange Helmet Award from the BC Lions.

NANAIMO — The Florida Panthers signed Nanaimo Minor Hockey product Patrick Bajkov to a three-year entry-level contract.

Bajkov, 20, is in his fifth year with the Everett Silvertips and is having an outstanding campaign in Washington state, racking up 30 goals and 92 points in 67 games.

Some of the best junior hockey stories come from teams being together on a road trip. 

The stories are told and re-told, and of course embellished over time.

This week the Nanaimo Clippers hit the road for three days in Powell River.
