NANAIMO — Stellar goaltending was the difference as the Comox Valley Glacier Kings beat the Buccaneers 3-2 in overtime to draw first blood in the VIJHL North Division playoff series Thursday night at the Nanaimo Ice Centre.

NANAIMO — It was a sloppy game that resembled a tryout scrimmage, but the Buccaneers (31-16-0-1) found a way to beat their arch nemisis Campbell River Storm (34-12-0-2) 4-3 in overtime at the Ice Centre Thursday night.

Buccaneers' Dan Lemmon named VIJHL Coach of the Year

NANAIMO — The Buccaneers have come a long way and so has their head coach.

Dan Lemmon, 30, was named the VIJHL Coach of the Year prior to his Buccaneers (30-15-0-1) defeating the Oceanside Generals 4-2, on Thursday night at the Nanaimo Ice Centre.
