NANAIMO — The first day of Clippers training camp looked a lot like a regular season practice.
 
Coach Mike Vandekamp only invited 26 players to main camp, making it the smallest one anyone hanging around Cliff McNabb Arena could remember.

NANAIMO — The issue of full cages in junior hockey was brought to the forefront this week, with the VIJHL's Peninsula Panthers announcing all of their players would be required to wear the full shields this season.

Hammer thrower Katzberg latest Nanaimo athlete to win gold at national event

NANAIMO — Ethan Katzberg has been golden at his last two track and field events.
 
The 15-year-old John Barsby student won a gold medal and set a meet record in the hammer throw at the National Youth Track and Field Championships on Sunday.
