Montreal Candiens alumni squad visits Nanaimo

Feb 16, 2018 | 6:01 PM

NANAIMO — Some well known former Montreal Canadiens are in the harbour city raising money for a good cause.

A Montreal Canadiens alumni team hits the ice at Frank Crane Arena Sunday afternoon to take on a team from the Nanaimo Loaves and Fishes Community Food Bank.

Canadiens of note include two-time 50 goal scorer Stephane Richer, Chris Nilan, Patrice Brisebois and head coach Steve Shutt.

The most recent NHLer to play in the game is enforcer John Scott, who suited up for one game as a Hab after being traded from the Arizona Coyotes two seasons ago.
