Sentence issued after quadriplegic man beaten in Qualicum Beach

Jan 14, 2018 | 7:01 PM

NANAIMO — A man was sentenced in the severe assault of a quadriplegic man at a rural Qualicum Beach home.

Robert Gordon Davidson, 48, was given two-and-a-half years behind bars for beating the man with a blunt object at his home in March 2014.

The victim was 66-years-old at the time and the two men knew each other, police said.

The sentence against Davidson was handed down late last year by a Provincial Court judge in Nanaimo after Davidson pleaded guilty to aggravated assault.
