Aug 1, 2017 | 11:51 AM

CUMBERLAND, ON — Nanaimo’s Shirin Anjarwalla has four top 20 finishes in five 2017 Golf Canada tournaments.

This week the 17-year-old is teeing off at the Canadian Junior Girls Championship at the Camelot Golf and Country Club.

Anjarwalla’s most recent result was 19th place at the BC Junior Girls Championship in Kelowna in early July, and she also performed very well with an 11th place showing at the BC Women’s Amateur Championship at the end of June.

In her Golf Canada events Anjarwalla has two career first place finishes.

She won the 2014 BC Juvenile Championships, and the Junior Girls title at the 2016 Odlum Brown Classic.

Her most recent victory wasn’t on the Golf Canada circuit, but right in her own back yard.

Anjarwalla won the 2017 Mid-Island Women’s Amateur at the Nanaimo Golf Club in June.

The Canadian Junior Girls Championship is underway and will wrap up on Friday.

A live leaderboard is up here.
