UPDATED: RCMP confirm missing 11-year-old Qualicum Beach girl has been found

UPDATE:

Oceanside RCMP confirmed that 11-year-old Florence Dawn McNab has been located safe sound. She was found last night, reportedly by police in Vancouver. No other details have been released.

Oceanside RCMP are following up on reports a missing Qualicum teen may have travelled through Nanaimo on her way to the Lower Mainland. 

According to police, 11-year-old Florence Dawn McNab was reported missing from her Qualicum Beach home Wednesday afternoon. They said there have been unconfirmed reports she was at the Nanaimo Ferry terminal and may have left Vancouver Island. An RCMP release did not specify which ferry terminal.

McNab is described as white, 5’3″, 130 lbs. with purple and blue shoulder length hair, blue eyes and glasses.

Mounties described their search Wednesday afternoon as “extensive.”

If anyone has any information, they’re urged to contact Oceanside RCMP.
