May 6, 2017 | 1:54 AM

PARKSVILLE — Investigators believe a pair of fires at French Creek bakeries on back-to-back days were no accident.

Parksville Volunteer Fire Department (PVFD) chief Marc Norris told NanaimoNewsNOW it’s believed the fires at the Sandcastle Bakery and French Creek Bakery and Cafe on April 27 and April 28 were purposely set.

He said both fires started on the outside of the buildings.

There were no injuries in the suspicious fires, but the French Creek Bakery and Cafe was completely destroyed in minutes.
