Nanaimo-area candidates face off in two ridings Tuesday night

NANAIMO — Major issues will be on the table Tuesday night in two Nanaimo area ridings.

The Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce is hosting their all-candidates debate at 6 p.m. at the Beban Park Social Centre. The Chamber said each candidate, including from the BC Libertarian Party, will be there. BC Liberal candidate Paris Gaudet didn’t attend the last all-candidates meeting.

Questions can be submitted to the Chamber in advance or from the floor.

Parksville-Qualicum candidates will also face off April 25 at the Parksville Community and Conference Centre at 7 p.m.

Despite the name, the riding contains significant portions of North Nanaimo.
