Nanaimo restaurants up for provincial awards

NANAIMO — Three Nanaimo restaurants are up for annual awards staged by the BC Restaurant and Food Services Association. (BCRFA)

Nori Japanese Restaurant has been nominated in the Best Independent Restaurant category, Gabriel’s Gourmet Cafe is in contention for the most Socially Responsible Restaurant among independent eateries across the province, while Nana Sushi has been nominated for best new restaurant

69 restaurants are nominated in six categories for the BCRFA event, dubbed the BC Restaurant Hall of Fame.

You can vote for the Nanaimo restaurants, or any of the other contenders here.

Winners will announced on May 8 in Vancouver.
