18-0 Dover Bay to host AAA Girls Island Basketball Championship

NANAIMO — Dover Bay Secondary is hosting the Vancouver Island AAA Girls Basketball Championship this week.
 
The Dover team goes in on a tremendous roll with an 18-0 record after taking the North Island Championship in Port Alberni last week.
 
Games in the 61st Island Championship will run from Thursday to Saturday this week.
 
Dover will play Spectrum out of Victoria to open the tournament Thursday at 2 p.m.
 
The top two teams this weekend will advance to the provincials in March at the Langley Events Centre.
