Nanaimo RCMP looking for Shar-Kare break-in suspect

NANAIMO — The smashed open front door of a Shar-Kare Feed and Pet Supplies store has brought a man to RCMP’s attention.

In a release, Cst. Gary O’Brien with the Nanaimo RCMP said the store in the 800 block of Bruce Ave. was broken into at approximately 5 a.m. this morning, Feb. 15. The front doors were smashed open and various items were stolen.

Video surveillance showed the man and the white pickup truck he was driving. The incident lasted 15 minutes, according to RCMP.

If anyone has any information on the suspect, they’re urged to contact Nanaimo RCMP or Crimestoppers if they wish to remain anonymous.
