Clark plans to use jobs record to attack NDP during campaign

VICTORIA – Premier Christy Clark says jobs and the economy will be her main messages during next year’s British Columbia election campaign.

B.C. is projected to be among the leaders of economic growth in Canada next year and the province’s jobless rate is the lowest in the country.

In a year-end interview with The Canadian Press, Clark says strong economic growth has helped produce consecutive surplus budgets for her government, which allow her to fund social programs and housing initiatives.

She says she will use her government’s job-creation record to attack the Opposition New Democrats who oppose many major public projects that create thousands of jobs.
