UPDATE: Missing Oceanside man found safe

PARKSVILLE — Oceanside RCMP report Derek McRae has been found safe and sound.
 

EARLIER:

Oceanside RCMP are asking for help finding a missing man.
 
Derek Ian McRae, 33, was reported missing by his family last Wednesday and has not been seen since Dec. 9, according to police.

Mounties say McRae is of no fixed addressed and was reportedly homeless at the time of his disappearance.

He is 6 foot 2, 225 pounds, with very short dark hair, brown eyes and a fair complexion.  McRae was last seen with scruffy facial hair.
 
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Derek Ian McRae should contact Oceanside RCMP at 250-248-6111.
