Pennsylvania store seeks customer – so they can apologize

Dec 16, 2016 | 5:15 AM

YORK, Pa. — A Pennsylvania soap shop has posted a surveillance photo of a customer on its Facebook page, but not because they think she’s a shoplifter.

Instead, the Sunrise Soap Company tells the York Daily Record (http://bit.ly/2gRUUqL ) that employees want to apologize to the woman for giving her less-than-excellent customer service.

The store’s Facebook post says the store owes “this patient, kind, sweet customer a free lip balm, a free soap, a free hug and a big apology.”

Candy Gingerich, an employee of the store in downtown York, says first-time customers are supposed to get a free soap sample and product information. But the woman who came into the shop on Tuesday missed out on that part of the customer experience.
